Join Mrs Hoover in her art class! Elementary students can follow along and learn about different artists, discover various art techniques and watch Mrs Hoover demonstrate how to create the day's art project. Each class will teach a complete art lesson with step by step directions to enable students to create an art project from start to finish. Students are invited to be part of Mrs Hoover's class and make some art!

Meet Betsy Hoover

As an artist who was homeschooling my three children, I wanted to provide enriching art experiences for my children. I mean, if an artist can't do it, who can? And yet, the task was overwhelming. I knew what they needed but by the time we finished math, reading, science, social studies, I was either too tired or too busy or had errands to run! Sure we might do a couple things but it was sporadic and I knew we could be doing so much more! So I bought books, curriculum, kits, LOTS of art materials and felt guilty because I just couldn't get to it during the day. Fast forward 20 years and I am a public school art teacher!  I have been teaching here in Texas for over 8 years now and I finally have time to create in-depth art lessons that I know children will be excited about!  If only I had had "school teacher me" when my kids were little! But it's not too late for you! I can introduce your kids to different artists, talk about all kinds of techniques and demonstrate projects step by step so that they can be successful and enjoy creating art! I have made these videos with the busy mom in mind. "Drop" your child off at my video art class and let me show them some exciting ways to make art!
